Why have I decided to take the Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program?

Why digital marketing?
If you ask me to sum up marketing, I would say "How to reach customers and something" (something like convincing them to buy,...etc.)
If you were born in the '80s (like me) or '90s, you probably have kids now and you would also saw marketing and advertising aids like ( TV ads, radio ads, billboards, newspapers, ...etc.) by use of these aids people were marketing their products.
These aids lasted for a long time in use.
Until starting of 2000, the world witnessed a huge technology revolution starting with the spreading of computers, then laptops, finally smartphones, social media, and who knows what is coming next? . people's interest in Radio, newspapers, and other conventional ads become lower and lower. Social media attracted people's attention and interest. The world becomes at your fingertips.
Because of that marketing pointed to the digital world and reached customers through ads on websites and Social media. At that time marketing become digital marketing and marketers starting turning to digital marketers.
Why Digital Marketing NanoDegree (DMND)?
I heard a lot about digital marketing but I didn't know how to start. I wanted someone to lead me to the right road and show me how to be a freelancer. Until I found a social media campaign on Facebook about DMND sponsored by FWD Egypt. I really felt I found what I was missing to fight in the digital marketing arena. I applied for the First Track (Challenger Track: Introduction to DM, its duration 5 weeks), finished it, and got my graduation certificate.
